Maggie's Senior

Maggie's Senior

We never know what we are going to get into when taking pictures. We arrived about an hour early to Maggie's pictures to scout the location. Thank goodness we did because the original path  to the river was over grown...... so we had to start thinking plan B. We rode around looking for other areas but there was nothing. Everyone kept telling us we had to go through the lofts to get to the river. The lofts are residence only, you have to have a key to get in.  Lauren got smart and thought lets ask the kayaking store how we can get to the river. Well their way was to walk a long way in tall grass or go down the public property line thats only about a foot wide, on the side of the dam....so needless to say we didn't take that way with a senior and cameras. At this point Maggie was arriving. So we told her the dilemma and started at another location first. Finished and time for river pictures. We ended up asking a residence how to get to the river, he replies the only way is though the lofts. So we acted bummed and said thanks. But long story shorts he lets us in and shows us where to go. He says you go through that door right there. (We didn't see a door in sight, just beautiful windows with the river right outside) He said yeah the window door....so we crawled out a window down the ladder to the river. It was absolutely beautiful!! One of my favorite places now.  We had it all planned out if someone asked who we were with.. "oh we are with John, whose from Virginia, that lives in the gnome room." A picture of the ladder is in the blog. With all the obstacle Maggie's pictures turned out beautiful and we had so much fun!

The next  pictures were taken at Salem Campground, where Maggie and her family spend one week every summer. She was baptized here and says it a place so special she can't even explain it to people. Pretty cool!
